On 13th July 2024, Spirit of Storytelling, a one day event for people of all ages, will take place in the historic town of Youghal. Step into a day of cultural celebrations and connection at our inclusive storytelling event, where people of all ages are invited to share and listen to stories that weave together the fabric of our heritage and culture 

At the heart of Spirit of Storytelling are the local stories that reflect the unique essence of our community. From tales passed down through generations of families to present day accounts of triumphs and resilience, these stories are a window into the shared history and values. Led by local historians and storytellers, participants will be taken trough a journey through time , discovering untold stories and hidden gems that shape our collective history. 

Spirit of Storytelling will also offer a diverse array of workshops for all ages, held by professional storytellers, providing attendees with the opportunity to explore the art and techniques of storytelling. 

But our event is not bound to the boundaries of our own heritage and culture, as we extend a warm invitation to representatives from diverse communities to share their own stories and traditions. Through these cross-cultural exchanges, we celebrate the richness and diversity of human experience, fostering understanding and connections among all who participate.
